I got started making these cakes in 2005 when I decided to try making
a diaper cake for my sister’s baby shower. I had seen
a few other diaper cakes, but none that really measured
up to my standards. This one had to be extra special,
for my very first nephew!
The diaper cake that I made got rave reviews at the shower, and
soon, Laura’s Crafty Creations was born (and my nephew
too)! I then decided to try making different types of
cakes using towels and other gift items. I began making
cakes for bridal showers, housewarming parties, anniversaries,
holidays, etc. I soon realized that these specialty
cakes can be made to suit any occasion. With the only
limit being the imagination, the possibilities are
endless!
